Lead Scheme Terms — Business & Team Accounts

1. The arrangement
These terms apply to companies and organisations (and their staff or members) taking part in the Ecomm Development lead scheme through a business or team account. By creating an account, allowing your people to use one, or submitting a lead, the organisation accepts these terms.
2. Authority & responsibility
- Whoever creates or operates an account for an organisation confirms they are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf, and the organisation is bound by them.
- The organisation is responsible for its own participants — how they submit leads, their compliance with these terms, and all arrangements about rewarding them (if at all).
3. Rewards — read this bit carefully
Any reward for business-account leads is as separately agreed in writing between us and the organisation.
- Nothing on this site is an offer of payment to individual participants on a business account. Individual staff or members submitting leads under a business arrangement have no entitlement to, and no claim against us for, any payment.
- Amounts we agree with the organisation are confirmed once the referred customer has paid us in full and 14 days have passed, and are settled monthly in arrears to the organisation as the single nominated recipient.
- Payment to the organisation fully and finally discharges our obligation. Distribution to its participants — if any — is entirely the organisation's affair, and we accept no responsibility or liability for it.
Submitting leads properly
- Only the first submission of a business counts. Duplicates, businesses we are already talking to or have worked with, self-referrals, and fabricated or bulk-scraped submissions do not qualify.
- Only submit publicly available business contact details, or details the business has given willingly. No harvested consumer data, no spam.
- Don't misrepresent us, don't pressure anyone, and don't promise anything beyond our published packages and the free no-obligation preview.
- Lead status shown in our system (including binning a lead) and all decisions about whether a reward is due are made by us and are final.
Customer payment terms (for the businesses we build for)
- The homepage preview is free and no-obligation.
- Work is invoiced when the customer approves the preview and asks us to proceed; full ownership of the store transfers to the customer once payment has cleared.
- Shopify subscription: the website runs on Shopify, whose plan (from approximately £30/month, depending on the plan the customer chooses) is a separate subscription payable by the customer directly to Shopify, along with any Shopify apps. It is not a fee to us and continues for as long as they keep the store.
- Domains & email: any domain purchased on the customer's behalf is transferred into their ownership and charged at the price we paid for it, with no markup, in addition to the package fee. Domain email setup is included where the chosen package states it.
- We charge no ongoing monthly fees for the website itself.
General
- Taking part does not create employment, agency or partnership with Ecomm Development, and gives no authority to make promises on our behalf.
- We may amend, suspend or close the scheme at any time; changes apply from publication on this page and never remove rewards already earned.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
